Good Friday Morning!

This is the last school day of the week. Now you have a whole weekend to do your homework. You are going to receive a document in your parent's PAPÁS mails with an exam this afternoon. It's a word document you can download on your computer to work on it. This homework is only for Classes 5th and 6th

Children from Class 4th go to your Class.

It's got three parts; a listening one, and reading and writing activities.

MAY DAY

The month of May is named in honour of the goddess Maia, originally a Greek mountain nymph, later identified as the most beautiful of the Seven Sisters, the Pleiades.

May Day celebrations and festivities were once the highlight of the year in every town and village through Britain. Traditional May Day celebrations included dancing around maypoles and playing games.
 
lso, 1 May 1707, was the day the Act of Union came into effect, joining England and Scotland to form the Kingdom of Great Britain. Although this isn't celebrated, especially not in Scotland

Mothering Sunday in the UK is the equivalent of Mother Day in other countries. It is on the10th of March. Mothering Sunday is a time when children pay respect to their Mothers. Children often give their Mothers a gift and a card.

Holy Thursday, is the beginning of the three day celebration of Easter. It is on 28th of March

On Good Friday, Christians remember the day when Jesus was crucified on a cross. It is on 29th of March

Easter Sunday This day commemorates the resurrection of Jesus Christ from his death by crucifixion.

Saint Valentine


Valentine's Day (Saint Valentine's Day) is an occasion celebrated on February 14. It is the traditional day on which people express their love for each other by sending Valentine's cards, presenting flowers, or offering confectionery.

SCHOOL DAY OF NON-VIOLENCE AND PEACE, 30th JANUARY 

 

 

...and this year in our school outdoor celebraton we will read some texts about our wishes to get a peaceful world. We will also sing the song We are the World by Michael Jackson and some of the best American singers.
